Personal pizzas are so much fun to make with your family. Kids enjoy getting involved with the cooking process. Prepared Naan bread can be purchased at your local grocery store.
Naan Pizza
Serves 4
Prep time: 10 min
Cook time: 10 min or less
Ingredients:
4 prepared naan breads, or flatbreads
2 tbsp olive oil (1/2 for each pizza)
1 cup shredded cheese
1 cup tomato sauce, or choose no sauce for a white pizza
Optional toppings: fresh basil, halved cherry tomato, any fresh vegetable, shrimp, onion, olives, diced or shredded chicken, artichoke hearts, spinach… your favorite healthy toppings…
Preparation:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F and place rack in center of oven. If you have a pizza stone, the naan bread warms and crisps nicely if baked on the stone. If not, just a regular sheet pan will work. Place your baking pan in the oven so it warms
2. Prepare your pizzas! Brush the naan with the oil, then the sauce if using and 1/4 cup of shredded cheese. Add any additional toppings and place on the pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven.
3. Bake pizzas until the cheese is melted.
