Grow Your At Home Business – 5 Easy Facebook Tips
It is not a secret that any thriving at home business must be connected to social media today – and one of the key players to have on your marketing team is Facebook. Make sure you have the following 5 things on your Facebook page and watch your number of page likes, network reach, and business profits soar!
1. Have you linked your Page to your Profile?
This may seem obvious – but many business owners have not done this simple step. Go to your About section on your personal profile page and click to edit your Work information. Be sure to provide a link to your Business Facebook Page, and a direct link to your website.
Once you have entered your information, click the Done Editing button. When you go back to your Profile, hover over your about information and confirm that the link to your Page is active. A mini box will pop up with a view of your Page like in the picture below for At Home Moms.
2. Is there a hyperlink in your Business Page’s About section?
Go to your Facebook Business Page and click on About. Look at what you have typed under About and Description. You should have a hyperlink to your website so that viewers can click on the link and be taken straight to your site. To edit these sections, you will need to go up to Settings at the top of your Admin Page and click on the Page Info tab. Here you can fill in a short description and a long description, and this is where you enter your website address.
3. Have you secured a custom URL for your Facebook Page?
When you set up a Facebook Page, you are automatically given a Page ID. You are able to edit and select a Page ID of your choice only once – so choose wisely! Facebook will instantly notify you if the name you would like has already been taken. From your Admin page, go to Settings, Page Info, and click to edit your Facebook Web Address.
