Arise Creates Work At Home Jobs for Moms

A day in the life of an Arise work at home mom…

8007951[1]Sarah was not always a stay-at-home mom. Armed with an Associate’s Degree and several years of experience in retail sales, Sarah had always dreamed of starting her own business. However, with a husband and three daughters under the age of 10 to care for, running a clothing boutique did not fit into her busy lifestyle – and it would not guarantee the income her young family needed. Then Sarah’s friend told her about Arise. She discovered the flexibility to organize her work schedule around her family life while still fulfilling her dream of becoming a small business owner.Like any stay-at-home mom, Sarah’s day starts bright and early. She gets the kids ready for school while her husband, Michael, gets ready for work. With an empty house – at least for a few hours – Sarah transitions from stay-at-home mom to at-home business owner. She logs into the Arise portal and discovers five new client opportunities. She also checks her Virtual Services Corporation’s performance results and earnings from the previous day. She is ready to begin work.Sarah typically chooses morning work hours from 8 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.   With this schedule, she can earn some extra income for the family but still give her youngest daughter the undivided attention she deserves when she comes home from kindergarten mid-morning. However, Sarah is not tied to this schedule. She has the flexibility to make changes when things come up – or when things get cancelled. If one of the kids has to go to the doctor or there is a special recital at school, Sarah can adjust her hours accordingly. She can also decide to work additional hours if she needs extra income. This morning, it is raining so she could not go on her morning walk. Sarah logs into the StarMatic® scheduling system and finds an opportunity to work an additional hour from 6 a.m. until 7 a.m. She logs on with her retail client and takes her first call at 6:01 a.m.After her last call at 11:25 a.m., Sarah files some bills she can use for her upcoming tax return and makes a quick call to her accountant with a few questions. She then greets her five-year-old daughter and they enjoy an early lunch together before the young one goes to the neighbor’s house for an afternoon play date. Then Sarah attends an e-learning certification course for her new travel reservation client from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. before her other children come home from school. As the day winds down, the family reunites for dinner. Sarah tucks the kids into bed while Michael picks up around the house. At 8 p.m., Sarah has an enhancement session with her performance facilitator to listen to a few of her recorded calls. Together, they review Sarah’s performance and discuss some enhancement techniques. Sarah is excited to be in the top 30 percent of all Arise Certified Professionals for customer satisfaction and handle time, and she is eager to learn ways to move into the top 20 percent, so her Virtual Services Corporation can earn more and qualify for bonuses. Before she logs back on to work the evening hours she selected, Sarah chooses her schedule for the next week – the opportunities fill up fast. She adjusts her preferred 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. work hours for next Thursday because she is playing chaperone at her 9-year-old daughter’s field trip. Then she logs back into the system and takes more retail customer service calls from 9 p.m. until 11 p.m. while her husband does some paperwork in the den. What a fulfilling day! Sarah served her retail client for six and a half hours, selected her schedule for next week, discussed performance enhancement techniques, and attended a certification course for her new client – all without missing one moment of precious time with her family. Sarah’s dream has come true and then some. She is in the retail industry she loves with the freedom to balance work and life.

Arise Testimonials:

Driven Entrepreneur Enjoys Advantages of a Home-Based Business
As far back as I can remember I have always been an entrepreneur. In college, I ran a home painting business. A few years ago, I started tutoring people in computer applications. When I heard about Arise, I knew it was a natural fit.My full time job is with an international shipping company, but when I get home I take calls as an Arise Certified Professional. Working in a T-shirt and shorts in my home office allows me to feel relaxed. As a benefit for incorporating as a business, I was able to write off my computer, supplies and certification on last year’s taxes. The best part is that I can supplement my income from my full-time job and get experience in sales and tech support for a nationally recognized brand, skills that I intend to use later on in my career.

Busy Mom Finds Balance Between Career and Home Life

As a working mother of four, I’m constantly on the go picking my kids up from school, shuttling them to soccer and gymnastics or cooking dinner for my family. But while most busy moms are fast asleep at 3:45AM., I am often wide awake taking a steady stream of phone calls from customers on East Coast time at my home in Arizona.

For me, the early morning hours work perfectly. By the time my kids wake up around 7:00AM, I will have already serviced more than three hours uninterrupted. The flexible scheduling even allows me to pick up short 30-minute shifts while my daughter spends time with friends. It means a lot to me that I can afford the “extras” for my kids: the Playstation games for my son, new backpacks in the fall or family trips in the summer. I have the best of both worlds. I am able to provide an additional income and still be at home with my family.

Arise Makes Re-Stationing Easy for Military Spouse
Almost two years ago, I was out of work and searching for work that seemed impossible to find. As a military spouse, I need the flexibility to work around my two young children’s schedules, take vacations on short notice if my husband, who is on active duty-has time off, and receive enough compensation to justify expenditures such as gas prices and childcare costs. During my search, employers would lose interest in hiring me, as they knew I might leave on short notice if my husband was re-stationed.When I started as an Arise Certified Professional, all of my work requirements were fulfilled. Now I schedule my own hours and earn more than enough to help support my family.

Smooth Transition from Corporate America to Arise
Seeing my old friends from my previous career as a banker reminds me of the way I used to be: tired, worn-out and desperately in need of a vacation. After 17 years in the field, I knew I was ready for a change. I was bored, tired of office politics and bad traffic, and most of all I was ready to take on new challenges. So when my husband and I relocated to Texas last year for his job, I relished the opportunity to start fresh in a new career.

My husband showed me a news segment about Arise. The Arise Certified Professional that was interviewed talked about how Arise fit into her lifestyle, rather than changing her life to fit her career.

I knew right away that this would work for me. I especially liked the idea that I could become certified for multiple clients and switch between them, never having to do the same thing two days in a row. Since my husband also has a flexible schedule, we can get lunch together, go shopping or take day trips. If he is relocated again, I can take my business with me practically anywhere in the U.S. I am thrilled with the opportunity to learn something new and work on my own terms.
